Investigator Amanda Meyer is a twelve-year veteran with the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. Investigator Meyer began her career in Law Enforcement in April 2013 as a Detention Officer, where she spent a year and a half maintaining the safety and security of the facility. After completing the San Antonio College Law Enforcement Academy, Investigator Meyer transferred from the Detention Division to the Patrol Division. After four years on patrol, Investigator Meyer was promoted to patrol corporal. In October 2020, she resigned from her supervisor role to accept a full-time position as a K9 Handler. In November 2021, Investigator Meyer left the K9 position and returned to a night shift patrol deputy position. In February 2023, Investigator Meyer was promoted to the Criminal Investigations Division (CID) as an Investigator. In May 2024, she was assigned to the Southern Texas Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Investigator Meyer is the Digital Forensic Examiner for the Sheriff’s Office and an Adjunct Standardized Field Sobriety Test (SFST) Instructor with The Texas Municipal Police Association (TMPA).
During Investigator Meyer’s time with the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office, she has obtained multiple certifications. She is a Master Peace Officer, Basic Instructor, Breathalyzer/Intoxilyzer Operator, Standardized Field Sobriety Test Instructor, Drug Recognition Expert, Cellebrite Certified Operator, and Cellebrite Certified Physical Analyst. She has three associate degrees from San Antonio College and one bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M San Antonio in Criminology. Investigator Meyer is a member of Tau Sigma’s National Honors Society and Graduated from A&M Cum Laude.
